Electrofeat

Electrofeat is the title of my next CD. I’ve been slowly tooling away on new music over the past year, and am excited to share what I’ve been doing.

This time I have a specific direction and theme I want to go with. As the titles suggests, I wanted to be more electronic with my music this time around and push myself to create unfamiliar sounds and landscapes. This is not only limited to instruments, but to all sounds including vocals. I wanted to process everything as an instrument, so my voice is being treated no differently. My vocals will also be featured more prominently in this album than in the previous.

This album hasn’t come as fast as 23:28 did, but with this extra time, I’m able to really polish everything. So far I’ve only got about half the songs written, and not even those are complete. I’ve made the decision to take my time and only work on stuff when I really feel I want to, and not force myself. I felt when I forced myself with deadlines on 23:28, I ended up with something I was only half pleased with. Therefore, Electrofeat won’t be finished until I believe it’s finished. So not date, or approximate timeline, just… soon.
