Lost Music
My computer crashed last summer. AH! Turns out the logic board on my iMac had fried and it was going to cost more to fix it than to just buy a new Mac Mini.
The Apple Tech guy told me the hard drive should be fine and that I could remove the hard drive and put it into and external housing case. Did that, but unfortunately to no prevail. I’m not sure if it happened when I was removing it, but the hard drive makes this awful sound when trying to boot up.
*le sigh*
Sooooo, I’ve pretty much considering everything on there a loss.
Unfortunately, there were two pieces of music I was working on tentatively titled Goy and WIP 9. I was trying my hand in glitch music, after picking up Apparat‘s CD Duplex. Unfortunately the two songs were heavily processed and I have found it extremely difficult to replicate the sound I had made.
Here’s are clips of WIP 9 and Goy. Keep in mind these were far from being finished.
I’ve since tried starting from scratch on these, but have been completely unsatisfied with the results. I’m too used to how they did sound, and can’t accept anything that doesn’t sound exactly the same. It’s frustrating.
Maybe someday I’ll get over how they used to sound and be able to redo them. But for now, this is how they’ll remain… unfinished.
